5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in brown flexible boards housing 83 black and white photographs, all sized approximately 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" and glued at corners to pages. Title on spine of album reads, New Orleans - Hermitage - Shiloh - 1938; Joyce Northwestern University - 1939. Of the collection of photographs there are 22 photos of New Orleans, 8 photos of the Hermitage, 6 photos of Shiloh Battle Field, 3 photos of the Chalmette Battlefield, 4 photos of the Alabama Gulf Coast, 6 views from Lookout Mountain, and 16 photos of Northwestern University. The remaining pictures are of Baton Rouge, Nashville, the Chickamauga Battlefield, a Louisiana saw mill, a covered bridge in Indiana and a few pictures taken in Michigan to include a picture of the mouth of Lake Huron, some Detroit home interiors and men washing trucks at the Johnson Milk Depot Co. All photographs are in near fine to fine condition with location hand-written at the bottom of each picture.
