Faulk. A brief biography of John Robert Baylor, written by his brother George in Uvalde, Texas in June, 1900 under the title "Genl. John Robert Baylor of Texas." During the Civil War Baylor commanded the Second Texas Regiment, and defended the town of Mesilla, New Mexico against Union forces, rather than surrender. Fine copy.
