Original matted and framed color artwork done by Ernest Franklin and signed by him. The image size 8 3/4" x 6 1/2" and matted and framed it is 15" x 17 3/4." The color picture depicts a Navajo man sitting while he weaves with a woman, who is peeved with his efforts. This pictures a Navajo taboo as Navajo men are not supposed to weave, which is why the woman appears to be peeved. In 1991 a book illustrated by Franklin and titled "Navajo Taboos" was published and we believe this artwork was completed at that time. Fine condition.
