First edition. 6" x 9" oblong original wrappers with Seventh Cavalry crest printed on front cover, 83 pp., plus 27 pages of advertisements, foreword, double column, illustrated mostly from photographs, portraits, rosters, advertisements. In addition to their many activities this booklet describes the Washita battle, the Little Big Horn, the Yellowstone and Black Hills expeditions, and their participation at Wounded Knee. O'Keefe 2137 says "The history of the regiment includes sections on the Washita battle and the Little Big Horn fight (which is a reprinting of Godfrey's 'Custer's Last Battle,' #4035)." Contains information on Custer and a photograph of him as Lieutenant Colonel and Brevet Major General George A. Custer, "Hero of the Battle of The Little Big Horn, June 25th and 26th, 1876." Covers lightly used else a very good copy of a rare booklet and the first copy we have handled.
