First edition. Pseudonym of Stuart Brock and Gerry Travis. Light professional restoration to the spine ends else near fine in a bright dust jacket. Mystery involving an art gallery and a stolen Corot painting. The detective browses around an art gallery for possible clues to the theft and finds instead the corpse of an artist. Also the corpse's masterpiece, a painting titled "The Grey Lady" had vanished as completely as the Corot. The detective left the scene to notify the police and returned to find that the corpse was missing along with the paintings.
