Victorian Foster's Hook Gloves

First edition. 6" x 6" beautifully designed advertising pamphlet that folds to four 6" x 3" panels. The front panel shows a lithograph picture of an elegant lady holding a Foster Hook Glove while wearing the other glove. The following is stated "My Lady's Glove." The rear panel shows a vase with pink roses and a pair of gloves. The following is stated "Foster's Hook Gloves. For Sale by Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co., Chicago, Ills." Describes the features of the gloves to include colors and pricing. The Carson, Pirie, Scott & Company was founded in 1854 as an American department store, which grew to over 50 locations, primarily in the Midwestern United States. Sold to the holding company of Bon-Ton in 2006, but still operated under the Carson name. Minor wear to the top fore-edge else fine.
