This descriptive booklet on the Great Northern Railway line between St. Paul, Minnesota, and the Puget Sound, Washington, includes descriptions of towns along the route, as well as other towns and cities, including those in Alaska. Information on Duluth, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Lake Minnetonka, Alexandria, Devils Lake, Fort Assinniboine, Great Falls, mining, Helena, hot springs, Butte, Lake McDonald, the Kootenai River, scenery, Spokane, Lake Chelan, Tumwater Canyon, Puget Sound region, fishing, Big Bend Country of Washington, etc. Profusely illustrated with black and white captioned photographs on every other right-hand page to include pictures of Muir Glacier, Juneau, mining and lumber scenes, harbor and boating scenes, bird's-eye-view of Seattle and Spokane, various mountains, railway scenes, agriculture scenes, ranching scenes, Butte, ranching scenes, various hotels, etc. On the page opposite is descriptive text and a drawing in brown of a scene illustrative of the text description. Wrappers moderately soiled and with light wear to the extremities along with damp stain to rear wrapper edge and with splitting at spine. Interior text and photos fine. A very nice booklet.
