Original green cloth, titles stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine, picture of Buffalo Bill on front cover, [4], 259 pp., frontispiece (Buffalo Bill on horseback), illustrated, plates. Six Guns 456 says "Scarce." Adventures and exploits of Buffalo Bill on the plains. Stories of Indian battles, trapping, buffalo hunts, Pony Express, meeting Sheridan and Custer, Fort Phil Kearny Massacre, Grand Duke Alexis buffalo hunt, the Washita Fight, Beecher Island, the Sioux Campaign of 1876, Custer's last fight, the famous fight with Yellow Hand, Sitting Bull, etc. Plus chapters on Bill Hickok. The first printing of the first edition is difficult to obtain today. Former owner's inked name, address and 1908 date on front free fly leaf, light wear to the spine ends, a tiny "ding" to bottom edge of front cover, else a very good copy.
