Attractive 6 3/8" X 3 3/4" pictorial cabinet card of Theodore Roosevelt dressed in his military uniform as Colonel of the Rough Riders. The reverse side contains a promotional message by The N. K. Fairbank Company advertising their "Fairbank's Fairy Soap, Pure, White, Floating." The N. K. Fairbank Company was a Chicago concern that processed lard and manufactured soap from materials generated by the city's large meat packing companies. Eventually the company was sold to the American Cotton Oil Company who maintained the name The N. K. Fairbank Company. This company used cabinet cards through the years as a way to bring advertising messages to customers and prospects. Fine copy.
