Brown cloth, titles stamped in white on front cover and on a small paper spine label, [6], 122 pp., frontispiece [map], diagram, bibliographies. The Enduring Deset says: "Part One of this work is an attempt to coordinate the source accounts affecting the identity of the several parties who crossed Death Valley in 1849. Part Two presents the first and -- with the exception of the author's "Desert Voices" and this present volume -- the only descriptive bibliography of Death Valley literature, Nearly 600 items are conveniently classified by author, title and description, together with critical comments upon the content and upon the relative significance of most of the items listed." The author also says "Edition limited to 500 copies, irrespective of the book's printed limit notice of 1000 copies." Minor rub to foot of spine and corners else a near fine copy.
