The Saturday Book was an annual anthology of literary, historic, naturalist and general interest writings, liberally illustrated. Published at Christmas time between 1941 and 1975 the Saturday book was founded in 1941 by Leonard Russel and has been edited since 1952 by John Hadfield. This Saturday Book includes Edmund Blunden's Random Tribute to British Painters.
