This book is about the lives of 32 cowboys of Lea County in southeastern New Mexico, and some Texas cowboys, who were employed by one of the big outfits. All of the cowboys spent some time in Lea County. This book originated as a master's thesis at the University of Oklahoma in 1989. A splendid book which belongs in the library of anyone interested in ranching, cowboys, cattle, or cattle drives. A photograph and biographical sketch of each of the cowboys in the primary study is included in the text. Fine in dust jacket.
