First edition. 8vo. Specially bound in three-quarter maroon leather and cloth, raised bands on the spine, marbled endpapers, xi(1), 303 pp. Foreword by William J. Petersen and Illustrations by Elmer Jacobs. Numerous illustrations, photographs, plates, index, acknowledgments. This book was privately printed in a deluxe edition format probably for the management group. Adams Herd 453 describes only an edition bound in cloth. Two small stains on front cover caused by bleed-through of binder's glue, else fine in original slipcase. A history of the Morrell Packing Company of Ottumwa, Iowa, it's products, people, history, and distribution. Morrell closed their operation in Ottumwa in June of 1973.
