SARAH ANN BRITTON

Other works by SARAH ANN BRITTON

Publication: The Story Book Press, 1955, Dallas

First edition. 12mo. Limited to 100 copies. Signed and dated in the year of publication by the author on the front free fly leaf. Light blue cloth, titles stamped in silver on the front cover and spine, 185 pp., foreword, illustrated. A pioneer history of this North Texas county with pioneer biographies, a chapter on ranching, and much more. Herd 324 says "Published in an edition of 400 copies, but when the first 100 copies had been bound, the company went bankrupt and it became necessary to get another company to bind the remaining 300. These have a different binding from the first 100. There is a chapter on cattle ranching and some corrections made by the author in ink."

Former owner's boldly written name and address in red ink on the front free fly leaf, a few inked corrections to the text by the author, else a very good tight copy in dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends and a light crease to top of front cover.
