There are more than 200 wonderful illustrations, each printed in a rich saddle-brown and each from the cowboy artist, Sydney Fletcher. Provides exciting stories about early trail drives, gunfighters and rustlers of the open range, and the daily life of today's cowboy. Much is provided about cowboy equipment including pistols, rifles, boots, saddles, spurs, riding chaps, etc. Also information on brands and branding, a glossary of cowboy terms, and an informative bibliography.

Very good clean copy in the elusive dust jacket with chips to the spine ends and corners, with small chips, nicks, creases, and closed tears to the extremities. A promotional blurb on the rear cover says : "This book deals with the genuine working cowboy of today and yesterday. Nothing a cowboy knows is left out."
