Publication: Published By The Chicago Tunnel Terminal Corporation, 1928, N P
First edition. 4to. 11" x 8" stiff, wraparound pictorial wrappers, 32 pp., illustrated, map. All about how the railroads run under the city of Chicago and take a huge traffic burden from the busy streets of the Loop. Both the wraparound covers and the double page display at the center of the booklet provide an impressive view of the extent of the Chicago Freight Terminal System. A fold out map at the rear shows the tunnels and connections. One page is dedicated to general information about the tunnel complex and such information is given regarding the physical attributes, the locomotive and car equipment, amount of traffic handled during a typical year, private tunnel connections for merchandise, retail store connections, public warehouses, coal and cinder connections with buildings, etc. A faint imprint of a paperclip on inside front cover and two minor rubs to the spine ends, else a near fine, bright, clean copy of a most interesting booklet.
