Includes brief history of Texas Cattlemen’s Association by E. B. Spiller; “Brands as Evidence of Ownership in Prosecution for Theft” by Charles E. Coombes; “Texas Cattle” by W. L. Stangel; and biographical data on 53 noted ranchers of the 19th century. Non-authorial small gift inscription dated "1958" on the front fly leaf else a fine bright and tight copy in the elusive dust jacket that is a bit darkened on the spine, light wear to the spine ends, corners, and extremities. An important and elusive title and even more so in the dust jacket. This book was originally published in 1936 by Clyde C. Cockrell Company in Dallas, Texas. Both editions are difficult to locate today, especially in the elusive dust jacket.
