8 3/4" x 15" in black cloth boards. Contains 8 cancelled stock certificates purchased on August 1, 1911, and made out to W.B. Johnson who was at that time the General Manager of the Hot Springs Gypsum Products Company. Same 8 certificates redeemed on August 28, 1911. Additional cancelled certificate purchased by F.M. Stewart, President of the Hot Springs Gypsum Products Company, purchased May 12, 1913. Several stubs made out to various individuals though no cancelled certificate attached to stub. Remainder of book filled with unissued stock certificates. Additional booklet entitled HOT SPRINGS GYPSUM PRODUCTS COMPANY, HOT SPRINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA. IN THE BLACK HILLS. 6" x 12" in light green printed wrappers, tied with burgundy string. 10 pp. including wrappers, 4 large plates showing various areas of the ledge, double-column text. Booklet filled with information about the company to include information on the, "cuts of the deposits owned by the company, analysis of the products, engineers' reports and letters of endorsement from representative men who have made full investigation of the property and who personally know the officials of the Hot Springs Gypsum Products Company." Copies of typed letters, laid in from various individuals to include letters written from men of the House of Representatives, Western South Dakota Stock Growers' Association, the American Exchange Bank, the Department of the Interior United States Land Office, U.S. Mineral and Deputy State Surveyor, etc. A total of 9 letters, all dated in 1911 and all recommending purchasing interest in this company as it should become very successful. A copy of and article printed in the Hot Springs Weekly Star, April 27, 1911, offering information about the gypsum industry. Book of certificates with soiling and wear at spine. Booklet about the company with much chewing to front cover and with soiling to both covers. Inserted letters with light soiling and wear to the extremities. Article printed in the Hot Springs Weekly Star is fine. A very special item.
