Publication: Published By The Cash Buyers' Union, 1897, Chicago
First edition. 8vo. Pictorial wrappers, 128 pp., illustrated. Laid-in is an order form and single sheet offering select products at special prices. The philosophy of the Cash Buyers’ Union is: “deal directly with the consumer….This way of dealing does away with middlemen….We have no agents, no traveling salesmen, do not sell on commission, do not extend credit….” Contains drawings and detailed descriptions of buggies, surreys, wagons, carts, saddles, harness, parts and accessories, sewing machines, bicycles, baby carriages, parlor organ, etc. Very scarce with WorldCat showing only one copy of this issue. Covers have nicks, chips, and creases, pages 99 through 128 have a 1" closed tear along the top edge, evidence of a few fold creases to some interior pages, but overall a solid good copy of a very scarce item.
