First edition. Ten 10 1/2" x 8 1/4" color pictorial luncheon and dinner menus for passenger food service on the eastbound ocean crossing of R. M. S. Queen Mary, Thursday, May 12, 1955 through Sunday, May 16, 1955. This set was mailed from the ship by passenger Bill Weber. The set includes the original mailing envelope with stamps cancelled May 18, 1955, indicating that it was posted at sea. Each menu features a different scene or artwork on the cover. The May 16, 1955, "Farewell Dinner" menu is bound with its original cord. All the menus are in near fine to fine condition. This is an exceptional set of menus from a grand old and famous passenger sea liner.
