11 3/4" x 9 3/4" brown pebbled leather binder with the title ("Photographs") in raised yellow/green ink and with a camera embossed on front cover. Album contains 192 - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" black and white pictures. compiler of the album prepared a "Contents List" and explains where the photographs were taken. Photos include coming into Havana, Morro Castle, the Maine Memorial, Quirigua, Pan American Maritime Convention, a banana plantation, Mayan ruins, Guatemala City, the El Tor Statue, Quezaltenango, Antigua, the Palace of Generals Colnnade, merced Cathedral, Popanoe House, San Pedro, Lake Atitlan, scenery, locals, important buildings, men working in banana fields, soldiers, churches, huts, etc. All pictures are clear and bright. Previous owner's sticker stating "Guatemala, C.A. / Summer, 1940 / Lawrence D. Dunham / Volume 1" affixed to top corner of front cover of binder. A terrific collection of photographs.
