A biography of Percy Bowden (1893-1974) who was the Chief of Police of the Mexican border town of Douglas, Arizona for over 50 years. The life and adventures of a man who was known nationwide for running the cleanest border city in the entire United States. He was recognized for his effective results in the struggle with the bootleggers between Rodeo, New Mexico and towns in Cochise County, Arizona. He also became acquainted with Aimee Semple McPherson and the notorious gangster and bank robber, John Dillinger during their visits to Douglas. Fine in dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends and corners.
