Publication: Pawnee Bill's Historic Wild West Co, 1902, NP

First edition. Pictorial boards, 108pp., numerous illustrations from old photos. An exceptionally scarce work, this book relates Pawnee Bill's adventures on the Western frontier. In addition, the author presents chapters on Geronimo, the Pony Express, the American Cowboy, Mountain Meadows Massacre, and Gen. George Custer. "Rare. Contains some information on the James Brothers."---Ramon Adams. "Uncopyrighted, the little volume was used as an advertisement for the Wild West Show."---Graff #1076. Rebacked in attractive matching cloth, with new endpapers.. Rubbing and moderate wear to corners and edges of fragile pictorial boards. Text block unusually clean and tight. Previous owners name, town, and date, and additional names listed in pencil on front free endpaper. With faults as noted, in our experience this copy is actually in far better condition than most copies of this scarce and fragile work. Very good.
