First edition. Fine, bright copy in price-clipped, exceptionally fresh dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends, lightly rubbed along flap fold extremities and corners, and with a small closed tear to bottom edge of front cover. Basis for the 1962 film noir "Experiment in Terror" adapted by the Gordons from their novel, directed by Blake Edwards, and starring Glenn Ford and Lee Remick. A young bank teller is held at gun point by a vicious criminal and told to "play along" with his plan for a large-scale robbery of the bank. But once she was out of danger she called the FBI and a special agent went into action to thwart the plans of the criminal. A Crime Club mystery novel and very hard to find in a dust jacket. Housed in a quarter leather and cloth clamshell case with titles stamped in gilt on the spine.
