The story of communication from the first signal drums, smoke columns, and beacon fires of savage tribes to the present-day (1936) miracles of telephone and scrambled radio telephony. A chapter on the telegraph in the Civil War is of special interest. Very good in dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends, and a tiny chip to bottom edge of rear panel.
