First edition. Pseudonym of Phyllis Forbes-Dennis (1884-1963). Published in the U. S. using the title "Danger Signal." Light foxing to the front and rear endpapers else a near fine copy in a price-clipped dust jacket with light wear to the head of spine and minor wear to the extremities. A very romantic murderer has plans to seduce, marry and kill a beautiful woman for her wealth, but finds her younger sister to be even better prey. Made into the 1945 Warner Brothers film titled "Danger Signal" that starred Faye Emerson, Zachary Scott, Richard Erdman, Rosemary DeCamp, and Mona Freeman.
