by Medorem Crawford

Publication: State Job Office, 1897, Eugene

First separate edition. 8vo. Sources of the History of Oregon, Volume I, Number I. Printed wrappers, 26 pp. (including front cover), editorial notes, biographical note. Howes C878 says "The only diary of the first large emigrant train to Oregon; it was issued previously at Washington 1863, in fourteen pages [Senate Executive Document 17]." Crawford records dates, companions, supplies, cattle, accidents and encounters with Indians along the way. Front cover lightly foxed, rear cover missing, internally clean copy with light corner crease to the top edges, else a very good copy.
