This historical map of Pennsylvania provides us with a look into the past as we can view counties and county towns, Indian names of streams and villages, and paths of travel. A section of historical tables beginning in 1609 through 1876 that ends with "Centennial of the Independence of the States; International Exposition at Philadelphia, July 4, 1876." Additional tables are provided of forts, stockades and proprietary manors.
Some cosmetic touch-up to the binder and the front and rear endpapers have been replaced, the map is remarkably preserved, still in original folds, but repaired at fold points by a master paper conservator. This is an exceptional copy and the nicest we'd expect to find. A sturdy and well preserved item in fine condition.
