First edition. 4to. Limited edition of 100 numbered copies signed by the editor, Bruce Le Roy. This is copy 93. Dark brown quarter leather and tan map-decorated boards, viii, 136 pp., frontis. (portrait of Hiram Martin Chittenden), foreword, biographical notes, illustrated, personal notes, appendices, a Chittenden checklist, footnotes, selected references, index. This book is edited with notes and Introduction by Bruce Le Roy. Chittenden travelled extensively in the West with reports on trips to Yellowstone, the Pacific Coast, to Wyoming and Colorado, and to Jackson Hole and Idaho in 1896 and 1897. He authored several works on the Fur Trade. Fine copy a fine original slipcase. Some minor scuffing and edgewear to original cardboard slipcase.
