The story of the eventful life of Bill Tilghman, much of which has never appeared in print. Bill Tilghman was Marshal of Dodge City, Kansas and participated in the Kansas County Seat Wars. He later became a Deputy Marshal in Indian Territory, and was celebrated for capturing the outlaw Bill Doolin. He was Sheriff of Lincoln County, Oklahoma, a police chief, and an Oklahoma state senator. Tilghman was a lawman for almost 35 years and Bat Masterson called him "the greatest of us all." As new.
