Geronimo and his small band of women and warriors were pursued by both the U. S. Army and the Mexican Army for more than five months. During the time of pursuit not one Apache was either killed or captured. Geronimo surrendered in 1886, to General Nelson Miles after he learned that all of their families had been relocated to east and Miles offered to quickly reunite them under false terms of surrender. How the Apaches were treated after their surrender is the basis of this story. As new, unread copy in dust jacket.
