Publication: Privately printed for Dr Kilmer & Co, 1938, Binghamton
First edition. 8vo. Color pictorial wrappers, 32 pp., illustrated, advertisements, product endorsements. Dr. Kilmer’s Swamp Root medicine began in the 1870s. This line of herbal medications was developed by S. A. Kilmer and produced in his Binghamton, New York, factory. By 1885 he had developed over 18 herbal medicines. Kilmer promoted his products, in part, by issuing annual almanacs. In addition to medicinal remedies, there is a long section on Dream Interpretations where three pages of double column interpretations are provided; a section on Character Analysis is provided, and Suggestions For Social Conduct and Good Form provides a lot of "common sense" advice. Colorful wrappers are hole-punched at top edge near the spine and string-tied suitable to be hung, light wear to all the edges, and moderate wear to the spine. Overall a good copy.
