Publication: Privately printed, 1917, Tucson
First edition. 8vo. Printed wrappers, n.p. [8 pp.], double column. An address before the Arizona Archaeological Society in which the author traces the history of the expedition. In 1540, Spaniard Francisco Vásquez de Coronado led a large expedition north from Mexico to search for wealth and the Seven Cities of Cibola. Instead of wealth, he found indigenous farmers living in an array of communities and villages in what are today Arizona and New Mexico. Two light horizontal creases else a very good copy.
