8 1/4" x 5 3/4" in gray/green printed wrappers, with illustration of 3 shorthorns on rear wrapper. 46 pp. Auctions of livestock were common in the 1800s and catalogs of the animals including their bloodlines were published. W.H. Bayliss offers his entire herd of 26 head including his fine breeding bull Napier 99643 and B.O. Cowan offers 18 head, mostly the get of Scottish Lord 77761. Other first-class sires of stock include Loudon Duke 6th 10399, Bell Duke of Thorndale, Forest Prince 56075, Napier 99643 and Imp. Scottish Lord 77761. Light soiling and light staining to front wrapper with closed tear to lower edge and with tiny chip missing from corner of rear wrapper and with light chipping to bottom of spine. Very good.
