Two volumes. Caesar, The Life Story Of A Panda Leopard was first published by G.P. Putnam 's Sons in October, 1930, and Hussein, An Entertainment in April, 1938 by the Oxford University Press. Both titles were reprinted for the first time in April, 1999, in an edition of 1,000 sets of which 750 sets comprise the collector's edition, and 250 sets the numbered, limited edition signed by the author. This is set 102/250 signed by Patrick O'Brian. Each volume is bound in quarter leather with decorated boards and patterned endpapers. The covers were designed by Small Wonder Design featuring Indian minatures from the Richard Johnson Collection held by the British Library. These two novels were originally published when O'Brian was very young. In his foreword the author provides some interesting background to these two pieces of juvenilia. As new. Slipcase.
