"Big Bat" served as a guide for Gen. Crook during the 1876 campaign against the Sioux, was present at the Ft. Laramie Peace Conference in 1868, was with Reynold's troops when they attacked the Cheyenne village of Two Moon's in the spring of 1876, he fought against Crazy Horse at the Battle of the Rosebud, and participated in the exciting and near-tragic Sibley Scout. An excellent work. A fine copy in dust jacket with very light edgewear.
