Vaden, a Texas Ranger and deputy sheriff who was shot and killed in Ft. McKavett, Texas in 1886. His killer, Ben Daniels, also a Texas lawman, later moved to Arizona where he became a U. S. Marshal, Superintendent of the Yuma Prison, and a Pima County sheriff. Fine copy.
