Issued by the Union Pacific System this book provides a general description and history of Yellowstone National Park, There are photographs of Old Faithful Geyser, Freat Fall from Red Rock, Fountain Paint Pot, Morning Glory Pool, Grasshopper Glacier, Tower Falls, Grotto Geyser, individuals participating in various activities, wildlife, and many more scenes of interest. Information is provided on the park' environment, animal residents, hiking trails, bungalow tent facilities, horseback trails, Grand Canyon Hotel, fossil forests, Mammoth Hot Springs, fishing, hotels and permanent camps, automobile transportation, Old Faithful Inn, etc. A two page map of Yellowstone National Park that points out park tours, trails, auto road to Jackson Lake, railroads, etc. A one page map of the Union Pacific System and its connections are shown leaving from Chicago to the Pacific Ocean and points in between. Laid-in is a small map of the Chicago & North Western Line and Connections plus rail stations for the Chicago & North West Line and the Chicago, Union Pacific & North Western Line. There is provided cost of tickets to Yellowstone Park, schedules of automobile tours through the park including diagrams of same, saddle and pack trips, what to wear, women tourists, mail and telegrams, medical facilities, baggage, etc. Also information is provided on trips to Yellowstone Park from Salt Lake City, Denver and other points all via Union Pacific. A near fine, clean copy of an interesting and informative booklet.
