Publication: The Yellowstone Library and Museum Association, 1939, Yellowstone Park, Wyoming
First edition. 8vo. Color, pictorial stiff wrappers, maps on front and rear endpapers, [8], 39 pp., acknowledgments, introduction, illustrated, plates (2 full color & 3 black & white), glossary. This is afield guide to the identification of fish in the Yellowstone Park. From the "Introduction" we read: "Some of the best trout fishing in the country is found in Yellowstone National Park. Practically all of the waters in Yellowstone are stocked with trout, and many of the park visitors are attracted solely by the sport of Isaak Walton. Since the more accessible waters are fished steadily the trout become wary and are educated to the angler's lure; waters further removed from the roads will be found to furnish excellent fishing and the more adventurous fisherman will be well rewarded for their journeys into the wilderness areas." Lightly used in near fine condition and we suspect very scarce in this nice condition.
