Roessel, a native Navajo, has written an ethnographical autobiography. She writes from the traditionalist standpoint upholding the fundamental domestic values of Navajo women.This book not only describes the role of Navajo women in a changing Navajo society, but also reflects personal experiences and feelings of the author. Former owner's bookplate on front free fly leaf and a small "ding" to upper front corner, else a very good copy.
