First edition. 8vo. Inscribed on the verso of the frontispiece "All good wishes to Mr. Myrtle Parks, Ed Bartholomew." Tan cloth, titles stamped in brown on the front cover and spine, 117 [3] pp., frontispiece, illustrated from photographs from the famous Rose Collection of photographs. Adams, Six-Guns 155: “This book gives some previously undisclosed facts about Bill Longley.…a genuine contribution to western Americana.” Considered to be one of the deadliest gunfighters in the Old West, Longley was hung for murder in Giddings, Texas, on October 11, 1878. This is the true first edition and should not be confused with the later printing of 1986 using the same title by the Nortex Press. Near fine copy without dust jacket, as issued.
