First printing. 11" x 8 1/2" typed letter dated February 21, 1938. This letter from the sons of Elgin O. Kothmann announces the death of their father and a public auction of bulls to be held at the Premier Ranch on February 28, 1938. Fred White, Sr. a prominent historian and bookseller says "Offered are 151 two and three year-old bulls bred and produced by Elgin Kothmann, a prominent rancher and cattleman. The Kothmanns were German immigrants and pioneer settlers of Mason. Elgin Kothmann had just died and his sons were carrting on his wishes for an auction."
