Two photogragh albums containing approximately 157 black and white photographs. First album approximately 7" x 10" in black cloth binding and housing 58 black and white photographs ranging in size from 2 3/8" x 3 ½" up to 6 1/2" x 8 1/2," with many measuring 5 1/4" x 7." Second album approximately 5" x 7 1/4" in black cloth binding and housing 99 black and white photographs ranging in size from 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" up to 4 ½" x 6," with most measuring the larger. Of the 99 photos, 13 are laid-in. Photographs in both albums are secured directly to the pages. Covers in good condition. An enormous and interesting set of albums containing images of the family who compiled these albums and contain in addition views of rustic bridges, rural structures, railroad scenes, images taken in the Colorado mountains, trekking and hunting scenes, a series of photos documenting the construction of an early aqueduct, mining scenes, homes, scenery, Stratton’s Park, bridge at Stratton’s Park in 1913; railroad depot; Rainbow Falls; hunting scene with laden burro carrying equipment; log cabin; Hell’s Half Acre; blueprint of a one story cottage for sale by English & EIS Realty Company in Colorado Springs; trekking scenes; scenery; rock climbing; entrance to Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs; Steamboat and Balanced Rock with horse an carriage standing beside; Ute Indians at the Garden of the Gods; a group of people standing on the bridge at Stratton’s Park; trains and railroad tracks; family members; Winfield Scott Stratton Monument; and more.
