Jack Dulaney escapes from a California prison and heads for New Jersey to help his ex-girlfriend, Holly. He uncovers a conspiracy that resulted in the death of Holly's father, and now he's in pursuit of the killer. The author's knowledge of old-time radio and how he cleverly winds the plot around this background makes for an not only an excellent read, but also a portrait of a vanished era. Splendid quality for the writing, the book, and the slipcase. Impressive.
