An interesting collection of 25 original silver gelatin photographs (including a couple of real photo postcards) of indigenous tribes in Panama and the Darien Gap. The tribes include San Blas Indians and natives of the Darien Gap. Most of the photos bear the studio wet stamp and negative number of 'Foto Flatau' [Panama City], with 3 amateur images in sepia. A few photos are captioned in the negative. 23 photos are 2 3/4" x 4 5/8;" 1 photo is 2/14" x 3 1/2;" and 1 photo is 3/12" x 5 3/8." All photos are in very good condition. Light edge/corner wear to a few images and a couple of creases.
