Original blue cloth, [6], 250pp., frontispiece, illustrated. Presentation copy that includes a tipped-in slip stating "Compliments of Wm. A. Pinkerton and Robt. A. Pinkerton," and boldly signed in ink "Best Wishes of Robt. A. Pinkerton." Chapters include, TheNorthhampton Bank Robbery; The Susquehanna Express Robbery; The Pollack Diamond Robbery, The Rock Island Express, The Destruction or the Renos; and The American Exchange Bank Robbery. The four Reno Brothers were a gang of train robbers, most of their crimes being committed in Missouri and Indiana.Cloth lightly rubbed at foot of spine else a near fine bright copy.
