An interesting narrative of Army life in the Southwest fighting Apaches. An excellent first-hand account. Also some mention of the Earps, Doc Holliday, and the Clantons. "Some Hitherto Unrecorded Incidents Bearing Upon the Outbreak of the White Mountain Apaches and Geronimo's Band in Arizona, 1881-1886. The Experiences of a Private Soldier in the Ranks; Chief of Pack-Train Service, and Scout at Fort Grant; Also with New Mexico Rangers". Former owner's name partially erased from front pastedown sheet, front inner hinge cracked, but holding well. Some very light edgewear, else near fine.
