A portrayal of the history of the family and the founding and subsequent successes of the U Ranch in Sterling County, Texas. Part I has two sections. "W.R. McEntire and the Founding of the U Ranch" by Monte L. Monroe and "George Herbert McEntire" by Ruth Elliott McEntire Caldwell. Part II contains Father and Son Correspondence: Running a Ranch including "A Jackrabbit Drive" by Abel Ramirez. Part III consists of "George writes to Virginia in School, 1930s." Part IV contains "George' Stories and Poems, 1930s and 1940s". Part V is More Correspondence, 1940s. Fine copy in an unprinted transparent dust jacket. A handsome copy.
