Detailed history of Manitoba followed by information on the Red River Expedition, the fire of the 1870s, the tragedy of Seven Oaks, the steady growth of the province with an emphasis on population, agriculture (wheat), cattle raising and exports, milling, infrastructure, churches, railroads, cultivable land, the Great Exhibition on 1901, etc. Numerous black and white photographs throughout to include pictures of typical farm scenes, cattle ranches, Min Street in Winnipeg, the Great Exhibition, important buildings, parks, etc. On inside of front wrapper is neatly written 1903 Sept. 30. On front and rear wrappers as well as to the first page of text is agent stamp. From page 3 through the rear wrapper, every page has 1 or 2 tiny holes, precisely at the same place on each page. Final 8 pages and rear wrapper corners have water stain. Small chip to corner of rear wrapper along with light wear to extremities. A nicely produced and very interesting booklet.
