"The story relates the pursuit and capture of four bank robbers. Within less than four months from the date of their offense they were in custody or dead. In that period thousands of dollars were expended by the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company in a chase which extended across the American continent. This pursuit was broken by five desperate gun fights between the pursued and the pursuers, and eight men and one woman paid the supreme tribute, either in defense or defiance of law and order. The story begins, "At exactly noon of August 8, 1918, a gray Hudson speedster with an Iowa license number halted before the doors of the South Side State Bank of Indianapolis." A very interesting story. Moderate wear to the extremities, some foxing else good.
